This article explains the way to share images from an iPhone (any version of iOS which will run the app) to an Android device with Google Photos, an app available within the App Store. It also covers the way to add a partner to the app for even quicker sharing.

The easiest way to transfer your photos is to easily copy-paste them from the iPhone’s default photo directory to Android’s image folder. For this method, you’ll need a PC and USB cables for both your iPhone and Android phones. confirm that you’ve installed the device drivers of both handsets in order that they’re going to be detected.

  1. Open Google Photos.
  2. At the highest of the screen, select Create.
  3. Select Shared album.
  4. In the Add a title field, give the album a reputation .
  5. Choose Add photos.
  6. To add a photograph , select it at the upper-left corner of every photo. (Hover the mouse over the preview image to display a white checkmark within the upper-left corner of a photograph .)
  7. After you decide on the photos for your new album, select wiped out the upper-right corner.
  8. To share the album, select Share.
  9. Start typing the name, telephone number , or email address of the recipients of the shared folder.
  10. Select the contacts from the options of autofills,  until you’ve included all recipients.
  11. Enter additional recipients by selecting + (the Plus sign).
  12. You can also Add a message at rock bottom to your recipients’ invitation.
  13. Select the Send button for sharing that album.

–       How to Designate a Partner for your Google Photos

Google Photos allows you to add a partner to your account. This person automatically receives certain photos, so you do not need to manually share them every single time. to feature someone to a partner account within the app:

  1. Open Google Photos.
  2. Tap your user icon within the upper-right corner.
  3. Tap Photos Settings.
  4. Select Partner Sharing.
  5. On the subsequent screen, choose start .
  6. Select the contact’s name from the list or type their email into the text field.
  7. On subsequent screens, prefer to grant access to all or any Photos or Photos of Specific People.
  8. Tap the switch next to Only show photos from today to share images you capture after you invite your partner.
  9. If you select the more specific option, choose which photo subjects to share on subsequent screens.
  10. Select Next.

The final screen shows a summary of all of the alternatives you made, including the recipients and which photos you’re sharing.

  1. Tap Send Invitation to end .
  2. Once confirmed, the Android user receives a notification to simply accept the invitation.

After accepting, they will see the shared photos in their Google Photos menu.

  1. To end partner sharing, attend the partner library on either device, then select Menu > Settings. Open the Shared libraries section and choose Remove partner > Confirm.
  2. To remove a partner from the Google Photos app, return to the Settings screen, tap Partner Sharing, then select Remove Partner.

–       Using a dedicated app like Send Anywhere

The options above are great, but there’s room for other options like Send Anywhere. This application is free for both iOS and android. It also requires no cables or computers, because it operates within the cloud.

  • Transfer photos from iPhone to Android with the help of Send Anywhere:
  1. Download Send Anywhere from the Apple App Store.
  2. Run Send Anywhere on your iPhone.
  3. Tap the Send button.
  4. From the list of file types, select Photo. Select the photos that you simply want to send. You’ll see check marks at the bottom-right of the chosen photos’ thumbnails.
  5. Tap the Send button at rock bottom after selecting the photos.
  6. The app will generate a PIN and a QR code image for the receiver. These authorization credentials will expire after 10 minutes (by default, but also can be set to five or 30 minutes), so confirm that the receiver device gets the file within that point frame. Or, if you would like to share the file(s) to multiple recipients for an extended time, upload the file(s) by tapping the Upload button.
  7. This latter option also will generate a PIN, QR code, and an internet URL that are valid to be used by the receiver(s) within 24 hours (by default, but also can be set to 12 or 48 hours).

On the Android phone

  1. download the Send Anywhere app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Run the Send Anywhere app.
  3. Tap the Receive button on the most screen.
  4. To receive the file(s), you’ll enter the PIN and tap the arrow button or scan the QR code generated by the iPhone. Or, if the sender shared the online URL of the file, open the URL during a browser .
